Rich has spent nearly a decade in the trucking industry, Rich has a substantial amount of knowledge and expertise to share. Growing up as the son of a truck driver, he developed a love for trucks at a young age. Even before he could drive he was turning wrenches and building engines in his Dad’s garage.
His professional driving career began in New York City where he learned many creative ways to maneuver into tight places. His natural mechanical abilities have benefited him a great deal over his career, especially in problem solving and fixing his own truck during his years as an owner/operator.
Prior to his career as a truck driver, Rich spent many years as both a mechanic and an equipment operator.
In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife and daughters.
Susanne attended SunCoast Trucking Academy in January of 2014 as a student and then spent a year "Over-the-Road" driving for a major trucking company. In February of 2015 she joined our team as Office Manager.
Susanne commented, "There is much more to trucking, than just driving a truck. The trucking industry has so many career avenues, there will ALWAYS be work. Just think of everything you see on the shelves in the stores and everything you own; it was all transported at one point by a truck from a manufacturer to a warehouse and then again to a store.”
She continued, “If you need a rewarding career, the trucking industry offers great pay with just a few weeks of training and a CDL Class A License in your wallet. Your earnings as an Over-the-Road Truck Driver will exceed your expectations.
Now that I’m working here at STA as Office Manager, I love the fact that I’m part of a great team which is passionate about getting people off to a great start with a new, well- paying career.
In my spare time, I spend time with my cat, Charlie, reading and watching good comedies.
Bryan came to SunCoast after having spent several years in the automotive, aviation and construction industries. He also served several years working as a Ranger with the Florida Department of Agriculture, Forestry Division. In that capacity, Bryan transported heavy equipment, worked in fire suppression and with controlled burns in Land Management.
Bryan served a total of 20 years in the United States Navy, having last been re-activated back into the Navy in 2004 and served until 2014 as a Seabee. A Seabee is a member of the United States Naval Construction Forces (NCF). The word "Seabee" comes from initials "CB" which in turn comes from the term Construction Battalions. The Seabees have a history of building bases, bulldozing and paving thousands of miles of roadway and airstrips, and accomplishing a myriad of other construction projects in a wide variety of military theaters dating back to World War II.
At SunCoast, we’re proud of Bryan’s service to our country and proud that he is a member of our team. He is another of our top notch Commercial Driving Instructors, and does an excellent job training our students.
